MediaHub

The next generation smart media management

Core functions

The MediaHub collects and processes all forms of digital content: video, photo, audio, text and digital files. This can be done in many ways and from many sources. Easy and user friendly.

Process user generated content, public contributions, partner contributions, social media posts and XML/RSS/FTP feeds. Advanced API interfaces are possible as well.

The MediaHub takes media management to the next level. Smart, flexible and powerful. Organise your entire digital workflow efficiently and user friendly. In the comprehensive editorial system each person receives customised roles and rights. This will enable you to build a dynamic network in which employees can cooperate. Freelancers, volunteers and media partners can be added to the network as well.

During the digital workflow metadating content is crucial. This is done efficiently and on the fly with just a few mouse clicks or fully automated. The powerful Graph database offers limitless possibilities to store metadata of relationships; between content, locations, persons, events, organisations, customers etc. The MediaHub has various smart tools to supply all media channels with content based on the metadata and to dynamically programme the content.

The MediaHub offers extensive possibilities for multi-channel distribution to all possible channels: websites, digital signage, mobile apps, TV applications, linear TV channel, web TV channel, social media, widgets and newsletters.

This concerns not just mass distribution. Interaction with your target group, personalisation and localisation of content and offering of recommendations are becoming increasingly important. The MediaHub is designed to facilitate this.

The following social media channels can be supplied with content: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo. Tumblr, Whatsapp, Soundcloud, Flickr and Instagram. At the request of customers other social media can be linked as well.

Data collection and metrics are essential. What is the reach of the various channels, what interaction arises with which target group and customers. The MediaHub collects all possible data and offers metrics. Marketeers can access this data for big data analysis.

The core

The core of the MediaHub is formed by a very powerful Graph database. This database enables massive content processing and large-scale data collection and data analysis. Furthermore, you can easily expand this Graph database to incorporate more data.

Your MediaHub environment is in fact one large source of information full of connections. With our API you can take full advantage of these connections.

API

We work with just one API with which you can use all functions in the back-end. This API is completely open to make connections with other databases and back-ends and for creative agencies and ICT companies who want to develop front-end applications. We welcome you to discuss the possibilities with us.

Workflow

With the MediaHub you can set up an optimal digital workflow for editorial staffs. You can easily define the rights, roles and features for each user. In this way you can build an editorial structure that best fits your needs. You can even make external partners part of your workflow. Need to make a quick adjustment? Each user can log in to the MediaHub on the internet wherever they are.

Backend

The MediaHub is a backend system. Backends and frontends are traditionally linked together. For example a content management system is linked to a website. If you want to be able to communicate through different media, you have to use multiple systems, with which to distribute your content through multiple channels. Which doesn’t just cost a lot of time and effort but also results in multiple content sources. The MediaHub brings all this content together at one central spot and you can distribute the content across different channels with just a few mouse clicks.

You can easily integrate the MediaHub with current content management systems for websites. With the API the MediaHub can both send to and receive from other systems.

Graph database

With the introduction of social media and related trends like big data the amount of data we store has risen significantly. The power of these data can only be utilized if we are able to connect these data. Traditional databases were mainly focused on storing and retrieving information. They were, however, not able to provide the information’s context.

A Graph database is a database that is primarily intended to store the relationships between information and analyse these. Based on these relationships connections and patterns can be discovered. Graph databases represent their data in nodes (junctions) and edges (arrows with a direction). These edges represent the relationships between nodes.

This relational nature of information also applies strongly to the MediaHub, in which one user shares information with another and further distributes his content in contact with others. Facebook’s Graph Search and Google’s Knowledge Graph are also based on this principle.

Big data analysis

The Graph database structure of the MediaHub is particularly suitable for large-scale data analysis. From target groups and even individuals.

You can link the MediaHub to other backend systems (CRM, asset management, e-commerce platforms) or social media platforms such as Facebook to create a richer database for even better and richer data analysis. This enables personalisation and localisation of content.

Business partnerships

In order to be able to exploit the limitless possibilities of the MediaHub to the full, we prefer to cooperate closely with business partners. E.g. for the delivery of frontends, the linking of systems, big data analyses or to develop new services and applications together.

In addition we also like to cooperate with integration partners who can integrate the MediaHub in existing media and business processes in which multiple connections with other (legacy) systems need to be made.

Content partners

We cooperate with organisations that offer content in the MediaHub and distribute it to customers of the MediaHub. Consider for example the NOS news minute.

And there are organisations with which we have made a technical connection to exchange data and content, e.g. Meteogroup.
